Hi, I'm Brent, the creator behind Figures in Frame.

Like many people, I've always admired incredible scale models and miniature artwork, but for years I never took the first step because I thought I needed to know everything before I could begin.

Eventually, I realized the only way to learn was to start.

Figures in Frame is where I'm documenting that journey.

I'm a beginner scale model builder who is learning one kit at a time, sharing the successes, the mistakes, and everything in between. My goal isn't to pretend I have all the answers, it's to create the kind of resource I wish I had when I started.

On this site and my YouTube channel, you'll find build logs, beginner-friendly guides, tool recommendations, product reviews, and honest reflections on what I'm learning with each project. Whether you're building your very first High Grade kit or you've been in the hobby for years, I hope you'll find something here that inspires you to keep creating.

As my skills grow, so will the scope of this journey. My long-term vision is to combine scale modeling with miniature photography, building detailed models and bringing them to life through cinematic images. Over time, you'll see that evolution documented here as I continue learning new techniques and pushing myself creatively.

More than anything, Figures in Frame is about embracing the process. Every model teaches a new lesson, every mistake is an opportunity to improve, and every finished build is another step forward.

Thanks for stopping by and being part of the journey.

One Model. One Frame. One Step Closer.

A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT WHAT I LOVE:

TOY PHOTOGRAPHY

Fun fact: When I’m not photographing people, I’m building scale models and creating cinematic toy photos. Small figures, big ideas! 📸🛠️
